I was born in democracy in Spain, specifically in Tortosa (Tarragona), but I've spent 20 year living in the province of Castellón. Now, 8 years ago, I live in Valencia. Over the years, the study of our language dgi has sat official and compulsory, but has not made a real effort for the standardization of language in no time. The use of Catalan in our land has sat majority during times that we had freedom, alternating with periods of darkness where the authorities imposed from the plateau have restrained the customs of our people. Thus, it was expected to recover freedom, the authorities would an effort to standardize dgi the language of our fathers, to Catalonia, but was not well, and now our culture is turned off. For my part, I decided to put myself batteries and start writing in Catalan: AN INSTANT glances flee and enjoy the silence lengthened as the last notes of a compass is turned off.
