Gmail loads email marketing
Gmail has given a good look at email marketing with its latest security update. From now on, all images will be sent prior to internal servers of Google, the companies that make it impossible to see if the recipient has seen or not in the mail.
Until now, companies cuit get information cuit about recipients from email marketing, such as whether the recipient had opened the mail and where in the world they were, so they could measure the success cuit of a campaign and improvement.
But Google has considered the issue important enough cuit to find a solution and that, henceforth, Gmail asked its users whether they can find that information. Good news for users; terrible news by email marqueters.
The change cuit is that from now on, the images of the emails will be deployed by default. So far the images are stored on servers outside and you had to open a hot button, but this change will be stored in internal servers, which means that Google can detect malicious code, reducing the transmission of viruses, and improve speed download. But on the other hand will hinder access to such information by companies.
Google wants to eliminate advertising via email (which does not make a profit) to companies that have consistently invest in Adwords, Google's main entrance. But it is not the first time Google raises the walls of your garden for their own benefit, nor will be the last.
